What counts toward your allowance
Only two units are metered: analyzed visits and deeper stories. This is exactly when each one counts, and when it does not.

What is an analyzed visit?
A per-tab, same-site session from a visitor who allowed analytics, which Cuebased processed successfully. It is not a person: the same person in two tabs, or coming back tomorrow, is two visits.
A visit ends after 30 minutes without meaningful activity, or after four hours at most. Page loads in the same tab continue the visit.
What is a deeper story?
A richer account of one visit: observations linked to their evidence, possible explanations, alternatives and what is not established. Every analyzed visit also gets a factual timeline, which does not use the story allowance.
A visit is selected when it reaches a goal outcome, shows an observed obstacle, matches a recurring pattern or when you request it. Part of the allowance is kept for representative ordinary visits and a small random sample, so stories do not only describe problems.
What happens when I reach my allowance?
Your website keeps working normally. Visits already in progress finish, and new visits are not analyzed until your next monthly period. Existing stories and opportunities stay available within your retention period.
Caps are hard by default. A free account is never converted to a paid one, and top-ups are never enabled without your explicit authorization.
Does test traffic count?
No. Visits from localhost, 127.0.0.1 and hosts ending in .localhost or .test are labeled test traffic and never count toward your allowance. Use them to check your installation as often as you like.
How long is my data kept?
Evidence is kept for 7 days on Free and 30 days on paid plans, and you can set it shorter. Agency workspaces can choose a 90-day setting where it is justified. Stories expire together with the evidence behind them.

Does unused allowance roll over?
No. Unused analyzed visits and deeper stories reset each monthly period.
Can I cancel at any time?
Billing opens after the pilot. Paid plans are planned as monthly subscriptions that you can cancel at any time, and we will publish the exact terms before any billing starts.
